This is a big kid program! Dancers are now taking ballet twice a week along with a separate jazz/contemporary class. Just like other physical training, for dancers to grow and develop and maintain the muscles and strength they need for dancing, training needs to begin to be more than once a week.

Dancers will build on their previous ballet learning by learning more specific postural placement as well as being introduced to more advanced concepts and steps, all while learning to maintain the turnout that is unique to classical training.
In their separate Jazz and Contemporary class they will continue to build upon the basic steps they learned in the previous level while learning more complex steps and longer sequences.
This jazz/contemporary training greatly aids dancers interested in training to be ballet dancers as it not only increases movement vocabulary and versatility but also further develops their coordination and musicality as well as flexibility and strength. This program prepares dancers to be accepted into our Advanced and Pre-Professional Traiing Programs.
At ONE Academy of Dance we want to help each dancer meet their dancing goals. We partner with dancers and families to find the program that works best for their goals. Below are some examples of our classes and programs.
