In this class you will dive into the root and musicality of body movement in this Afro-Latin inspired choreography class!

Fusing elements of African and Caribbean traditions such as Afrobeats, Reggaeton, Dancehall, Puerto Rican Bomba, Cuban Rumba, and Salsa, we’ll tap into various diasporic rhythms with dance moves set to hits by the likes of WizKid, Bad Bunny, and more!

  • A dancer, choreographer, and holistic yoga coach with credits in Latin, Afro, Caribbean, and Hip Hop dance styles, Shari brings her love for the art of movement as a transformative, healing power of expression into each of her offerings. She integrates her natural sensuality, intuitive senses, passion for cultural rhythm, and knowledge of the energetic and physical bodies into her coaching practice. The results are creative and intuitive flows with balanced breathwork for an immersive mind/body experience. Shari has been performing, choreographing, and teaching Latin, Afro-Caribbean, and Hip Hop dance for over 15 years, directing teams in New York City and Atlanta, GA. She’s an accredited YACEP® and E-RYT® 200 yoga instructor and teacher trainer of 5 years, with over 7 years of prior dance fitness instruction including Zumba® Fitness. Her performance credits include Fuego, Amara La Negra, Nestreya, Styleon da Empress, Oscar D’Leon, and large-scale dance festivals across the U.S. She has trained and performed with such world-renown names as Swagger Crew (from MTV’s ABDC Season 5), Suhaila Salimpour, Maria Ramos, Karel Flores, Sekou McMiller, Judith McCarthy of Afro-Afrique Dance Co., and Zafire Dance Company.
