Tango is a very complex dance, but it is the most rewarding yet challenging dance.
From its beginnings in Argentina this dance has continued over a century, its roots and deep sentiment have polarized many. It narrates the stories of many heartfelt moments and they encompass all the pain and tragedy of many generations.
It’s a dance where the communication between partners is paramount and the invitations from the leader to the follower have to be clear, precise and gentle. The follower has to keep up the technique to achieve self control and balance so every step is purposeful and transitions into a new position.

As a Colombian, dancing is a very important part of my life. Since my early years I have enjoyed dancing with my family and friends. Latin dancing is a key element in our culture where it enables us to express our feelings and emotions through music.
In South America and other Hispanic communities dancing has been present in our history dating back to our ancestors.
The Native Indians as well as the slaves that were brought out from Africa to Latin America, leave us with this legacy full of colour, rhythm and passion. I have been teaching Street Latin Dancing in the Gold Coast since establishing the school back in 2001.
During this period of time I’ve participated in multiple displays and demonstrations for private and corporate functions such as The Gold Coast Indy Carnival Parades, ANA Hotel Christmas Party, Latin On the Beach, Mount Tamborine State Primary School, Palazzo Versace Christmas party, and the Gold Coast Multicultural Association along with Life Education Queensland, Circle On Cavill, Skypoint Q1 Qdeck Salsa, Sonora Carruseles Concert, Gold Coast City Council and the Woodford Folk Festival.
And for several years I have been a judge in the Australian Salsa Solo competition. Our Latin Dance Classes run several days a week throughout different Gold Coast.
My fellow instructors and I teach Colombian style Salsa, Cuban style Salsa, Argentine Tango, Cumbia, Cha Cha Cha, Bachata, Merengue, Rueda De Casino. We aim to pass on our knowledge of dancing, introduce the basics steps and rhythm and teach you with authentic Latin style and spirit.
We want you to have fun, be able to express yourself by dancing freely and naturally in the same way people dance in Latin America, by feeling the music and transforming it with your own expression.
Its dramatic style and distinctive movements make it fun to learn and very appealing. The Tango is also excellent for developing good leading and following and is very sophisticated.
The Tango is one of the most beautiful of all the dances. It is characterised by earthy and dramatic movements.
The Class is designed for those with dance experience, and you will be required to attend with a partner, as currently changing of partners is not advised
