Throughout the whole year, you'll have the chance to work across a range of photographic genre and techniques, developing your practical and analytical skills in areas such as studio & location photography; image capture, editing and printing; use of lighting and composition.
You'll be able to focus on your own creative potential, and use your skills to find innovative solutions to a number of creative problems, some of which will be posed to you directly by employers in live briefs.
This will give you real work experience of the industry and - along with sessions on study skills like reflective thinking, self-management and problem solving – will help prepare you for a future successful career. As with nearly all of our creative qualifications, this Diploma is awarded by University of the Arts London Awarding Body - the only specialist creative arts awarding body in the UK.

This course is suitable for learners with dSLR and compact camera systems (mirrorless) that want to understand the complex functions in order to produce creative imagery.
Practising your skills in studios, darkrooms and Mac suites, you will become knowledgeable in camera skills, location techniques and pre and post-production.
Our low light and night photography workshop is designed for those wishing to safely venture out at dusk or after dark to capture images of Bristol from a different perspective. This course is also perfect for those not confident in venturing out alone after dark with potentially expensive camera

Our Beginners Photography Course is tailored to provide you with a solid understanding of your camera and the technical aspects of digital photography. By the end of this 10-hour course, you will master your camera in full manual mode to broaden your creative bandwidth.
