The General Health and Safety on Construction Sites course is compulsory for all workers on Quebec construction sites. It lasts 30 hours and is divided in 20 modules.
 course objective is to certify trainees with a Pipeline Construction Safety certificate which demonstrates the individual's knowledge of safe work processes on a pipeline construction project.
All firms with 20 or more employees require a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) comprised of members who are certified through Ministry of Labour-approved training.
