Javier Campines is a professional Latin dancer & choreographer and known as one of the best instructors in Los Angeles. He teaches Salsa, Bachata, and Cha-Cha-Cha to men and women of all ages and at all levels of dance experience and fitness.
Bachata Level 1* curriculum includes: Basic steps and partnership connection, 3-point turns, rhythm variations (fast, slow, step-tap), and more.
We offer private or drop-in group based classes as well as higher level training teams.
Bachata for kids (Ages 6 & up) classes are offered by Nieves Latin Dance Studio. All Children are required to wear their uniforms to class.
Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world but not identically. The basics to the dance are three-step with a Cuban hip motion, followed by a tap including a hip movement on the 4th beat.
Spot Dance. Club Latin. Popular at Salsa and Latin Nightclubs, Bachata has a side to side basic movement and a hip motion or foot tap on every fourth count of music. The music is slower than salsa music and faster than Rumba. From the Dominican Republic. Count: 1 2 3 4 (accent on 4)
