Bachata is a dance style that originated from the Dominican Republic in the 1960's. The style is danced with soft hip movements and a tap with or without a small "pop" of the hip (1,2,3 hip) in a close and intimate hold.
The music is often romantic and sentimental and usually tells a tale of romance, love, heartbreak and sadness. Bachata is now one of the more popular styles & easy to learn!
