As with any other dances we teach, At Star DanceSchool we provide you with structured and fun Bachata classes that will also give you a great workout.
We always start the class with a warm up. This includesstretching, a brief review of what we taught in theprevious class, and some basic figures and footworkyou'll need for the rest of the class.
The review and the footwork will be the basis for therest of the class. This means that if this is your firstlesson, you'll be able to follow the rest of the classquite easily.
You will have to be patient - you won't become thegreatest bachata dancer in one lesson, but you willlearn more each lesson you attend and eventuallydevelop an excellent choreography and even your ownstyle. Our talented, energetic, and friendly instructors willhave you bachata dancing in no time at all.

Bachata began as a specific style of music in the rural Dominican Republic in the 1960s. The music and dance were vehemently rejected by the established dance society in the Dominican as low class and associated with a dissolute lifestyle
At S Style Dance Team we have various options depending on your goals and preferences. We teach students of all ages and all levels.
The Bachata, a guitar-based trio (guitar, bongo, maraca), from the Dominican Republic, shares with its audience a country/peasant/barrio sentimentality marked by bawdy humor that connects the celebration of food, love and a macho delight in elaborating upon the ability of women to overpower men.
