The class begins with folded, stretched, released, etc. In this level, you learn the basics of classical technique. This is an Initiation level course (0 to 1 year of experience and / or fitness!)

After an appropriate amount of Ballet is studied, dancers may begin training “en pointe”. Dancing in toe shoes requires strength and correct body alignment. Dancers must be at least 12 years of age and have instructor’s approval.
Once these levels are completed the dancer will move into classical ballet training. When studying the Cecchetti syllabus, a minimum of two ballet classes per week are recommended in order the dancer to become a candidate for exams

The Syllabus used incorporates Classical, Free Movement and Character work in nine grades of examination (Primary to Grade 8 Award). Serious students who are sufficiently prepared have the option of taking an examination, in which their work is evaluated by a visiting RAD examiner.
