DurationClassical Ballet Technique has long been the foundation to poise and grace. Danzworx offers classes following the NZAMD syllabus for our 6-10 year olds, with exams available. When exams are finished, we dedicate our time to choreographing and polishing a dance for our end of year production.
In junior levels, we prepare our dancers for Ballet, Tap and Jazz exams with syllabus work; or try out a Fusion, Funk or Hip-Hop class to explore rhythm and music in a friendly, fun environment, with a mix of syllabus and open class work.
We also introduce contemporary classes for our nine and ten-year olds. Students can sit exams annually, and are also given the opportunity to perform on stage at the end of the year.

Ballet is a formalized style of dance to create expression through movement. At Auckland Academy of Dance, we teach the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabi from Pre School— Solo Seal.
This energetic class consists of foundational jazz dance elements including; counting & timing, directional changing, spotting, body alignment, contractions, isolations, jumps, turns and combinations.
These classes provide your young dancer access to technical and artistic skills of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance skills taught at an age appropriate level through a fun and creative lens.
Ballet is a great technical foundation for all dance genres.
