Earle Cobb is firmly rooted in the belief that today’s dancers must be able to adapt to any choreographer’s style, and therefore must be well-rounded, technically proficient and as fast thinking as possible.
The study of dance can give unlimited amounts of poise, grace, beauty and strength - requisites to a healthy and self-assured attitude at any stage of life. Our aim is to give our students the best dance education possible through our professional instruction and personal attention.
Ballet is the foundation of technical dance training, and is the root of most dance styles studied today. Ballet develops strength and consistency through exercises that incorporate a meticulous level of detail.
Students will be introduced to building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute beginning ballet technique. Each class will include barre exercises and may include some combinations in center.
In this introduction to ballet technique, students will explore basic ballet skills, including the 5 positions for feet and arms, and will become familiar with ballet terminology. Flexibility will play an important role in this beginning level
Proper ballet training stresses pulling up (using strong muscles of the stomach, back and bottom to pull the body up and off of the legs, allowing the dancer to move with strength and grace.
