At least one ballet class a week is mandatory to be a part of our competitive team.

Ballet improves agility and the ability to move with grace, it is the foundation of all dance. Ballet teaches the key fundamentals of technique a dancer requires to flourish in all genres of dance and is essential when becoming a skilled, and well rounded dancer.

Benefits: It develops discipline and dedication, improves posture, balance, flexibility and strength.

  • Natasha began training in RAD ballet through Halton Hills School of Dance in Georgetown Ontario from the age of 3. She later worked as an assistant teacher before training with the RAD receiving her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies. During Natasha?s studies she successfully managed the backstage during many ballet productions such as La Bayadere, Paquita, La Fille Mal Gardee, and The Nutcracker as well as numerous end of the year shows. She also performed in multiple of the same productions as a professional dancer for many years. In August 2018, Miss Farley attended the ABT NTC (American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum) and received her accreditation for levels Pre-Primary to Level 3. In July of 2021 Natasha also completed her PBT (Progressive Ballet Technique) certification.

Attitudes In Dance Logo

Pointe (Age 12+)

After an appropriate amount of Ballet is studied, dancers may begin training “en pointe”. Dancing in toe shoes requires strength and correct body alignment. Dancers must be at least 12 years of age and have instructor’s approval.

This class is for the serious student. Students will be placed in this class by the discretion of the teacher. Students must attend two Intermediate Foundation ballet classes plus one pre-pointe/pointe class per week.
