Pure Energy Dance Foundation is a registered Non-profit dance studio. Founded in 2009 by a parent group, PEDF continues to be run by an executive and its members.
Fund-raising and volunteering are instrumental to the operation of our studio, as are donations from the community.
Our goal is to have high quality dance instruction that is affordable to everyone.
PEDF Dance Studio offers all inclusive (No Try Outs!) Recreational and Competitive classes for ages 3 through adult, from beginners to advanced in:
Acro, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pointe, and Contemporary.
We have an array of amazing and talented instructors – who encourage our dancers to strive for their best. Our studio is about maintaining a balance in dance, family, community and school.
Pointe is the most highly disciplined and physically challenging extension of ballet. Only technically proficient upper level students who have mastered the skills of basic and advanced movement will be selected to study pointe work.
These classes participate in competition, and Junior 1 and Junior 2 also complete ADAPT examinations in their respective levels. Students are required to take ballet to participate in these classes.
Ballet is often referred to as the “foundation of dance”. Dancers who study ballet are learning technique, terminology, and self-discipline.
Pointe class is an extension of our classical ballet program. Ballet dancers will support all of their body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes. Pointe classes are available for students who have completed Cecchetti II, enrolled in ballet and are at least 13 yrs old.
Children start to develop a stronger sense of self, and on top of all of the fun, they begin to make use of long term memory. The goal of this program is to awaken in the children the pleasure of dance movement and body awareness.
