Theatre Dance Academy is one of the most well-known dance schools in Durham Region and Ontario. Many dancers start taking classes here at a young age and continue dancing at the studio for 15 to 20 years. After graduating, many have started bringing their own children to learn the art of dance here.
Based on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, our ballet program is the backbone to all of our competitive students’ dance education.

An excellent foundation for any student. This dance style follows the technique of the Royal Academy of Dance and is the basis for all dance forms. Martin School of Dance follows both the Graded Syllabus and for the more serious student, the Vocational Graded Syllabus of the RAD.
A classical dance form characterized by grace, precision, proper alignment and posture. Students will gain knowledge of the vocabulary of ballet terminology. The skills developed in ballet are the foundation for many styles and levels of dance.
We are not obsessive regarding the perfection of a recital dance. The Janice Luey Dance Co. is primarily a recreational school, with a small competitive division.
