Students focus on improving strength, control, and body positioning in barre, and center work, as well as learning all of the vocabulary and terminology of Ballet.
PDS Ballet Program's goal is to provide clean technical ballet dancers, along with mastering Barre and center floor work, adagio studies, music, ballet history, vocabulary, and body conditioning.
For beginner students, the emphasis is on the coordination of arms and head, which begin to develop practical skills, muscular self-control, and basic coordination and expression.
More advanced ballet students will aim to develop strength and stability in the art of pirouettes, balance, control, extension, fluidity, and petite and grand allegro. The ongoing development of performance skills is stressed in all levels of ballet class.
Our state-of-the-art dance studio is conveniently located at 19th Ave just one block of Happy Valley. in North Phoenix, providing classes in ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro, hip hop, and more.
At PDS we strive to create a learning environment suitable for all ages and abilities - from beginner, to advanced, and competitive dancer from 2 and up!
Ballet 1 (ages 7 & up) classes are offered by Nieves Latin Dance Studio. All Children are required to wear their uniforms to class.

Ballet provides the fundamentals of technique for all dance forms. Proper form is developed through strengthening the core muscles needed to maintain alignment. Students receive hands-on training assisting them in developing a greater awareness of their bodies and their movement potential
Ballet Dance Classes are offered by Houston City Dance.
This class is the student’s first introduction to formal ballet class structure.
