It is never too late to start dancing – and that is why CBD offers several adult dance and fitness classes from the beginner to the professional. Whatever your skill level, we are sure to have the perfect class for you! We are Dallas’ hub for dance by offering the best variety and quantity of Adult Dance Classes! All of our instructors have extensive professional  experience and are seasoned teachers!

We welcome you to our school, and congratulate you for making the “leap” to attending classes whether you are a beginner or professional dancer.

  • Danielle Hecker, a Texas native, graduated from Texas Christian University where she earned her BFA in Ballet and Modern Dance, was a TCU Scholar, and Dean’s List recipient. She grew up training at Chamberlain School of Ballet in Plano, TX under the direction of Kathy Chamberlain, Suzette Mariaux, Kevyn Robertson, and Shannon Werthman. At TCU, she studied under and performed in works by Elizabeth Gillaspy, Susan Douglas Roberts, Li-Chou Cheng, Heidi Latsky, and Suki John. She has also worked with guest artists including Arthur Mitchell, Jilliana, Wendy Whelan, Amanda McKerrow, John Gardner, and Susan Jaffe. In addition to classical dance training, Danielle works in Arts Administration and was the Director of Residence Life for the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City for eight years. Danielle also has a passion for musical theater.

Students ages 7 and up are invited to participate in a one-hour ballet class.  Our disciplined, yet encouragement-based technique class offers the student a clear understanding of ballet terminology, proper body lines, and alignment.

Dancers gain admittance to this class through teacher recommendation and director approval.  This 75-minute non-performing technique class will focus on the strength and alignment necessary for pointe work.
