Based in East Bierley our Victoria Dance Studios are the ultimate resource for your learning experience. Our team of dedicated teachers encourage students to succeed in their performance and technique.
Throughout the year our students take part in many exciting and educational events including IDTA dance examinations, local competitions, events and shows.
Recognised by the International Dance Teachers Association our objectives are to provide pupils with an all round dance and drama training in a happy but disciplined atmosphere and to encourage confidence, grace, good posture and co-ordination.
Each year there are opportunities to take part in a showcase and to study for examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association. Competitions are also an option for dedicated performers.
Intermediate Ballet classes are offered by Morningside Dance Academy. Our classes are taught by our qualified and highly commited expert teaching staff who strive to inspire our students to achieve outstanding exam results.
Ballets are choreographed and performed by trained artists. Traditional classical ballets usually are performed with classical music accompaniment and use elaborate costumes and staging, whereas modern ballets, such as the neoclassical works of American choreographer George Balanchine.
Ballet is to dance what the alphabet is to reading. Once the body has been classically trained the transition to other subjects is seamless. Balletic technique encourages elegance, beautiful flowing movement and hence physical confidence.
