This combination class focuses on getting students ready to transition from combination type classes to full hour classes in a specific style of dance. Ballet class will include more challenging barre exercises while emphasizing basic terminology.
The tap portion of the class will concentrate on developing intricate patterns and rhythms, while the jazz portion of class will begin to develop student’s flexibility and balance skills. See office for class colors and shoes needed.

Classical dance introducing basic ballet positions, plie, tendu, chaine turn, bouree, and pique turn.
Dancers gain admittance to this class through teacher recommendation and director approval. Â This 75-minute non-performing technique class will focus on the strength and alignment necessary for pointe work.
Vaganova method is a ballet technique & training system, dancers learn exercises, steps, & combinations. A ballet class consists of several segments, usually: barre, center, adagio, allegro, & reverence, with French terminology.
In Ballet level II/Pointe, attention is paid to the proper extension of the legs and shape of the feet, developing movement sequences, port de bras, and balance. Students will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work. Students will also begin to focus on repetition and retention.
