The goal of this class is to use our first hand experience to educate, as well as provide tangible and/or delicious examples of the complex journey coffee takes from seed to cup!
Coffee 101 is 8th & Roast’s unique version of a standard “seed to cup” coffee education course. We follow two of our most popular coffees from origin and processing, to roasting and brewing.

Learn about organic specialty coffee, how it grows and gets processed, and what makes it different from the rest of the world's coffee supply. You'll also learn about Cooperative Coffees, our unique importer that consists of 23 roasting companies including Bongo.
Come learn how to brew the same coffee using different devices to see what unique qualities each has!
You will walk away from this class ready to take your advanced techniques back to your coffee shop.Â
This class will offer brewing lessons, demonstrations and the ability to brew and taste coffee together as a group. There will also be plenty of time for questions.
