Short Courses

Basic Life Support, Anaphylaxis and Medical Emergencies Refresher Training

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals. We offer Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis and Medical Emergencies refresher training, delivered in-house, at practices and health centres across the country.

On completion of sessions, learners will:

• Know how to assess an incident using a stepwise approach.

• Be able manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally.

• Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.

• Be able to use an available automated external defibrillator.

• Be able to administer emergency and therapeutic oxygen.

• Be able to use a range of airway adjuncts.

• Be able to respond to a range of medical emergencies
