Beginners Classes are designed for children attending full time school. These extremely popular classes support the fundamentals of gymnastics offering a programme of learning that is supported by the British Gymnastics Proficiency Award Scheme.
Our coaches ensure a gentle introduction to the world of gymnastics, aiming to promote the benefits of gymnastics activity from safe and effective learning. Gymnasts will progress at their own level and at appropriate points of their learning will be assessed against the Proficiency Award Scheme. Gymnastics at this level is rich in reward with 8 certificates and cloth badges awarded for attainment.
Our club provides gymnastics classes for boys & girls of all abilities. We are affiliated to Leicestershire Gymnastics Association, East Midlands Gymnastics Association & British Gymnastics. We are ‘Club Mark’ affiliated, meaning we are able to demonstrate we provide gymnastics training in a safe, friendly and effective environment.

We aim to provide opportunities in gymnastics to all sections of the community and to positively promote the benefits of participating in gymnastics for general fitness, health & well-being.
The recreational classes develop a variety of basic gymnastics skills in a fun environment.
Acrobatic Gymnastics is offered by Woodlands Gymnastics. Acrobatic gymnastics is a competitive gymnastic discipline where partnerships of gymnasts work together and perform figures consisting of acrobatic moves, dance and tumbling, set to music.
Our tumbling program is the perfect place to start if you’re looking for something fun and challenging for your child. Our athletes work at their own pace and individual skill level during our beginner classes.
Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) is an hour and a half-long class that will continue focusing on the 4 Olympic events: vault, bars, balance beam and floor.
Gymnasts in this class train for approx. 12 hour a week and perform to a much higher level of skills on all 4 pieces of apparatus to enhance co-ordination, balance, body awareness and helps to develop posture, flexibility and strength.
