After a helpful and fun slideshow, students will work side-by-side with a BPW instructor in an enjoyable photo-walk in the Boston downtown area.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to visualize the scenes in terms of tonal values and contrast rather than color.
This in-person workshop pairs well with our online course, Lightroom Classic: Black & White editing.

This course is a technical overview of the principles of Digital Photography. We’ll cover many topics that will take your photo practice to the next level including, balancing proper exposure, composition guidelines, stop motion & blur techniques, keeping content organized, and more.
At UTSA Southwest, we have an exceptional facility for teaching traditional and non-traditional imaging. Students receive a solid technical foundation in photography, combined with opportunities to learn innovative techniques, both historical and digital.
Collaboratively, students will explore how to work behind and in front of the lens. Topics include all levels of camera manipulation, composition, perspective and lighting.
In this easy-going workshop, you will learn how to artfully capture the story of the food with a number of photography techniques.
This course will cover all the basics of using a digital camera and general photographic concepts. In addition to the technical aspects of digital photography, we will also explore design strategies and learn how to discuss and evaluate photographs.
