Graded examinations in Acrobatics are offered to all students through the BTDA Programmes of Study.
Our gym class is a progression onwards from acrobatics that enables students to attempt and maintain gymnastic tricks, balances, movenents and tumbling work.
This class helps with confidence and gives the student an extra edge in their dance vocabulary and capabilities.
This class also introduces gymnastic equipment such as vault, hoops and silks.

This class works on basic acrobatic techniques including beginning tumbling, conditioning, flexibility, proper form, and strengthening.
It is important to acknowledge that Acro Dance differs from gymnastics, as it is exactly that - a form of dance. Pupils are trained to be able to perform their tricks safely on a hard floor (ready for the stage) through safe progressions developing technique, Strength & flexibility.
