Tap classes are offered by Sylvia Bird Dance Centre. We follow an accredited dance syllabus for each subject, giving our students the opportunity to progress through Graded examinations with B.T.D.A. and we have a 100% pass rate.
Tap begins at the start in our debut dance class. From age three upwards, pupils are given an initiation in rhythm and stepping in time, so that once they have graduated to the Pre Primary class they will be able to master the steps necessary for their first examination.
We offer classes in Tap dance from the age of 3.5 years. This style of dance explores rhythm through the use of the feet and is an exciting and fun subject to learn.
Children from around 7 years with experience in tap dancing, and complete beginners aged 8 and 9 years, can join our energetic and funky Primary tap classes.
