We will provide you with high quality training including hands-on experience to develop the crucial skills you need for your future career.
At Rotherham College you can choose to study from entry level through to level 3 (Equivalent level to A-Levels) before choosing to progress on to Higher Education with us. We are based in Rotherham Town Centre.
Our technical courses and Apprenticeships will help you develop essential employability skills by involving you in challenging projects, practical work experience with employers and the chance to enter regional and national competitions, all supported by training in our industry-standard facilities from lecturers who are experts in their particular field.

This largely practical programme is for individuals who have a genuine interest in carpentry or joinery and wish to gain employment in the industry. Progression after the programme could be onto Level 2 Carpentry, Advanced Construction Award or employment in the industry; or an Apprenticeship.
This two day ‘hands on’ workshop will explore a variety of effective construction techniques. You will explore easily available tools, materials and processes accessible to beginners, artists and crafts people alike.
The Builder Training Centre (The BTC) offers high quality structured Carpentry Courses, which can be attended as a 5 day course during the week (Monday to Friday) or, for those that have commitments during the week, a weekend course (2 consecutive weekends).
