Tone Academy of Music is NYC's premier Suzuki-Method school, dedicated to teaching the joy of music from infancy through adulthood. We believe being a musician is learning the joy of playing and also fostering a beautiful heart with family and community. We offer classes in person, at home and virtually.
Tone’s private lessons and music enrichment courses help students of all ages also succeed in their musical passions while teaching important life lessons about dedication and the value of hard work.
We are honored to partner with other outstanding educators at Montessori Flatiron, Montessori SoHo, TESSA International School and Bow and Heart.
Along with private lessons, we also offer ensemble classes for theory, composition and group performance, as well as the Suzuki Toddler/Pre-K Program.

Cello Lessons are offered by Pirisen Music Lessons
Blue Tree’s cello lessons are taught by Lars Ortiz & Carlise Sorenson. Their teaching program helps students nurture the love and appreciation for the cello through the instruction and practice of technical exercises, solo pieces and basic music theory
Cello music class is offered by The Arts Center for All.We have this training for all our students after they are able to read music without hesitation. These abilities develop your eyes, ears, and brain fully with good balance.
We also specialize in lessons for adults. For almost ten years, we have helped thousands on their musical journey. Our talented, friendly, and qualified faculty can help you learn any style or genre of music, and lay the foundation for proper cello technique in the process
