As far as we’re concerned, the best thing about Valentine’s Day is chocolate. You heard us! We love all chocolate but homemade truffles might just be our favorite.

Bring your valentine (or make chocolate your valentine!) and join us to learn how to make your very own gorgeous and delectable chocolate truffles here at The Works!
In this class you will learn:
You’ll leave class with a box of truffles you shaped and decorated yourself, ready to enjoy or give as a gift! And don’t worry, even if you want to give your beautiful truffles away, you’ll have plenty of ganache to make a few extra just for you too. We can't wait to see you at this one - it's gonna be sweet!
Making art, cooking, learning new things, and connecting over shared interests is our small contribution to making the world a better place. Nurturing our community is core to who we are and we live by the motto that everyone is welcome at The Works, always.
The Works started as a DIY school for adults, offering in-person experience-based learning in Seattle. As challenging as the Covid-19 pandemic has been for individuals and small businesses, it sparked us into bringing an idea we've always had to life.
We've distilled the magic of our in-person classes into DIY Kits, complete with materials, detailed instructions, and a video to walk you through your projects. It's almost like having The Works in your home!
We take you from bean to bar and around the globe tasting chocolates from award winning craft chocolate makers.
You will create memories, edible art and delicious goodies with your loved ones during in-person workshop with our Professional Chef Instructor. Ask questions, learn techniques and work with new flavors. Spend time together while making them comfortable with a life skill early on!
Students will pipe and bake cream puffs & eclairs during class. We will then make whipped cream, pastry cream, chocolate mousse and lemon curd for fillings. Students will take home their creations along with the recipes.
We start with a fine Belgian couverture chocolate tasting. Students are taught the difference between the various types of chocolate and cocoa powder and all those confusing percentages that appear on the chocolate bar wrappers are explained.
Chocolate is an incredibly complex food – from growing practices, fermentation, roasting, and processing, and there’s much to appreciate in the many hands that chocolate passes through on its journey to your kitchen.
