DurationFor the more serious dance student, competitive programs are available in all dance forms. Our dance team ventures to about five competitive performances annually. Most of the locations are local including Niagara Falls, Brantford & Hamilton. Students as young as seven years of age may join the competitive dance team.
Involvement in these programs requires a commitment of six to twelve hours of dance per week. Commitment in competitive programs substantially enhances the student’s dance skills, technique and confidence. Hip hop moves are inspired by complex & versatile rhythms; this dance style appeals to everyone! Â Hip hop can be performed by anyone who wants to learn - the dance's use of music makes it fun to perform as it captivates audience and dancer alike with its mixture of both sharp and fluid movements.
At Exhale, our focus is not on winning trophies (although that’s fun too!) but on developing the complementary skills necessary to be successful in life.
Competitive Dance Classes are offered in multiple styles of dance for all ages and ability levels. Â
Our competition classes are divided up into teams depending on age and tryout results. We offer various styles of competition dances that compete in local competitions and have also recently traveled to California and Halifax.Â
Our Core dancers will work on pieces that will be placed in competitions and professional events. The Apprentice dancers will understudy the Core members. A high level of maturity, respect, and commitment is required of the students.
