Contemporary - If you enjoy rolls, fish flops, back arches and slides then this is the class for you. No experience necessary but we don't recommend this class if you have any major injuries as there is a lot of getting up and down off the ground.
Lyrical - Unleash your inner dancer. Move and flow to the music whilst using your body to tell a story. Learn to control your moves whilst letting go and enjoying the freedom Lyrical dance gives you.
Operating in Newcastle for 10 years, Beach Fit Dance has been designing dance classes to support dancers at every skill level. With the goal of making dance an affordable and enjoyable experience for everybody, regardless of age or skill level, Miss Cherie and her team of teachers are making it happen one class at a time.
Beach Fit Dance’s Mayfield based studio boasts:
A variety of affordable classes specially designed for adults.
Friendly, qualified & experienced teachers who are passionate about dance.
A custom 200m2 sprung flooring, ensuring joints always remain healthy.
X-pole classes, including a silicone pole for fully clothed performers.
Clean amenities, changing facilities and a showering area.
Stress free performance opportunities offered to all students as an optional extra throughout the year.
Contemporary Dance Lessons are offered by Dance Junction for all ages and skills. Dance Junction offers students the choice to take part in eisteddfods, public performances & exams.
Students are given a class each week on some of the main streams of Contemporary Technique from qualified Contemporary Teachers and Professionals.
A form of dance which takes its technique from classical ballet but permits a greater range of movement and abstract shapes. It is athletic in nature and pulls upon yoga and Pilates principles to create strength.
Contemporary Dance Lessons are offered by Roseville Dance Academy. Dance teaches self-discipline, creativity, poise, grace, expression, correct posture and spontaneity. It improves confidence and builds self-esteem.
For students in years 7 & 8, Wednesday afternoon is classical extension classes during normal school sport time. Older students can attend classes on Monday and a full day on Wednesday for a Certificate 3 & 4 in Dance, Certificate 3 in Assistant Dance Teaching.
