Contemporary dance is a genre of dance performance that developed during the mid twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world, with particularly strong popularity in the U.S. and Europe.
Class begins with a warm up to improve posture, alignment, build strength and flexibility followed by phrase work focusing on musicality, creativity, style and intensity. The class will get you moving in previously unimagined ways and start to find your gracefulness today.
Contemporary Dance Classes are offered by Rhythm Identity Dance Academy for all ages and skill leves. We always believe that if you can walk, you can dance. Whether you have experience in dancing or not, we can find the suitable lesson plans for you.
The weekly class will provide you with good technical knowledge and foundation that will be needed for dance across many styles and forms.
A poetic blend of modern dance and classical ballet, Contemporary is an abstract and interpretive dance form that communicates emotions. Our Contemporary curriculum is developed by a highly credentialed dancer and accomplished choreographer.
