Christian Dance Academy is based in East London, South Africa. Rising out of a vision to train dancers for Christ, we have tried to provide a place where dancers grow in their skill and spirit.

Most classes take place at the purpose-built studio in Bonnie Doone and the NG Noord church hall on the corner of Devereux Ave and Chamberlain Road. There are also classes in the greater community at Merrifield Prep School and Little Beacons Pre Primary.
In these one hour long classes we warm-up, work on some basic techniques and skills from that specific style (eg. Contemporary or Hip Hop), learn a short routine and end with stretching.
This class is a favourite among many of our students. Everyone loves the opportunity to explore the new dance moves taught in this class, while also mastering the complex moves. Our amazing teachers make sure everyone gets individual attention while keeping the class collaborative.
Contemporary dancers focus on floor work, using gravity to pull them down to the floor usually done bare foot. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. D2B teaches ADPA Contemporary Syllabus.
A variety of contemporary dance techniques including Release-based, Contact Improvisation, Graham and Cunningham technique.
Contemporary Dance Lessons are offered by Dance Direction International for all ages and skill levels. We strive to balance technique and performance in our learners.
