Using whole foods children will learn about good food choices and how to make easy and tasty foods while having fun. Prepared foods will be eaten at the school and/or taken home.
The core values of Mary Jane’s Cooking School are based on a belief in nurturing today for a healthier tomorrow. The home cooking classes offer nutrition awareness, diet and weight control, life skills and feeding the family.
The school is open for fall, winter and spring sessions with both day and evening classes available. Mary Jane’s Cooking School supports community businesses through purchasing policies favouring locally produced goods and services.

In our free Kids in the Kitchen classes, your kids can cook up a storm, make a mess and learn how to clean it up! Taught by our in-house chef, these classes are a great way to get your kids into the kitchen
The young cooks also have the opportunity to join in our actions fighting food insecurity through a concrete action- preparing meals for community organizations!
Little Baker is an interactive workshop for kids of all ages to learn and engage in the Hazukido decorating experience. Kids are able to decorate their own croissant or croffle with guidance from our experienced Hazukido bakers.
Teaching children and adults alike about food is a passion of Cheryl’s, and one she shares as the creator of Nourish Eatery in Sechelt.
