Whangarei Youth Music is a self funding, family orientated organisation created in 1980 to provide opportunities for the young people of Whangarei and surrounding areas to develop their musical skills and to experience the enjoyment of playing music together.
Our organisation is run by dedicated volunteers who manage and organise our groups to achieve excellence in public events and concerts. We invite you to participate in Whangarei Youth Music either as a volunteer or as a budding musician and see how you too can increase your love of music.
These classes provide an affordable option for learning music theory in a group setting. Classes will run depending on interest and require a minimum of 3 students so bring a friend and join the fun!
Commitment to regular attendance is important so that the class can progress together.
We are excited to announce a new and unique music programme which allows students to learn to play their instrument in the most fun way imaginable.
Concert Ba classes are offered by Whangarei Youth Music. Good communication and input from the student is important to an enjoyable experience.
The Cadet band is for beginner musicians who can read some music (you don't have to know all of the notes as you can learn that along the way).
