Whangarei Youth Music is a self funding, family orientated organisation created in 1980 to provide opportunities for the young people of Whangarei and surrounding areas to develop their musical skills and to experience the enjoyment of playing music together.
Our organisation is run by dedicated volunteers who manage and organise our groups to achieve excellence in public events and concerts. We invite you to participate in Whangarei Youth Music either as a volunteer or as a budding musician and see how you too can increase your love of music.
This school holidays we have something very special going down at MauaoPAC! We have the Aotearoa DJ Academy heading back from their base camp in Wellington to teach up a storm to all you budding young producers and DJ's out there.
Composition classes are offered by Hastings Piano Teacher. Hastings piano teacher Wendy Hunt is the person for you. Wendy is happy to teach all, from young children to mature adults, from beginners to advanced students.
Interactive music production lessons, proudly located in Wellington. Learn from our expert tutors with personalised lessons to suit your skill level.
This class gives students the opportunity to develop musical and stagecraft performance skills within a contemporary band/duo/solo artist. There is also an opportunity to apply these skills in a live performance (Gig) context.
Music Theory lessons are available on request. Students study the ABRSM syllabus of Music Theory.
