With imaginations fully engaged, preschoolers use props such as scarves, bean bags, ribbons and more as they begin to learn the fundamentals of dance set to music that inspires as well as educates. Children also learn how to take class with others, waiting for their turn, listening skills, dance class etiquette and balance and coordination.
At ONE Academy of Dance we want to help each dancer meet their dancing goals. We partner with dancers and families to find the program that works best for their goals. Below are some examples of our classes and programs.
A one hour class that focuses on the fundamentals of ballet and tap. Dancers perform two routines, one in each genre, in our annual recital. Must be at least 3 years old, and potty trained.Â
Completely fun! This is an especially wonderful way to introduce toddlers to the joys of music and movement. You may feel comfortable in our friendly, cheerful environment enjoying imagery, creativity, musicality, and movement. One child/one adult: Can be mom, dad, guardian, nanny, etc.
The Teddy Bear Program merges early understanding or rhythm, posture and body coordination skills. Ballroom dancing helps preparing your child for different types of classes in kindergarten and support those toddlers who are already in pre-school.
The Baby and Me class helps initiate young children into classical ballet discipline using carefully selected short, simple exercises, customized to their maturity level.
