The Professional Photography course has been designed to prepare you for employment in a range of photographic professions.
These include commercial, client-led practices such as advertising and editorial photography through to documentary photography and personally defined fine art photography, as well as related fields of employment such as image production, picture editing, and curating and gallery management.
Preparing you for employment in the photography industry
you’ll have the opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of digital photography, but Digmac photography course is much more than just a digital photography course.
You’ll gain a wide range of technical photography skills, develop expertise in photography techniques and build a broad based professional knowledge.
As you progress through the course you’ll also create an individual and professional photography portfolio. Together with the critical study of photographic histories, theories and contemporary practices, experimentation and risk-taking feature strongly and you’ll find that they are actively encouraged.

DIGMAC provides part-time and full time digital media, graphic arts and IT training programmes as well as short courses (including Saturday classes And Special Lessons on select courses) to Matric graduates and young professionals seeking to diversify their careers in the Media, Graphic Arts and IT Industry.
Full Time Qualifications:
We offer one and two year qualifications with classes from Monday to Friday, after which the learner will obtain a national or international qualification.
Part Time Qualifications:
We offer one and two year qualifications (qualifications vary from 1 year, 18 months or 4 years part time) with classes in the evening, twice a week and four Saturdays per month, after which the learner will obtain a national qualification (where applicable).
Short Courses:
Short courses present the perfect opportunity to upskill. Classes are presented during the day, evening and Saturdays.

This introductory module introduces the core concepts of digital photography, and prepares you for the course ahead.
The topics covered include cameras, lenses, measuring light, exposure, depth of field, shutter speed, aperture, ISO settings, white balance, camera modes, files formats, image quality, and tripods and other accessories.
