A photographic crash-course on using the humble hot-shoe flashgun aka Speedlight. This workshop is an intensive day of instruction and shooting geared around understanding and using the flashgun.
We look at the different modes, how they operate, how to best position the flash, as well as triggering the flash using infra-red and wireless. There will be two instructors to help iron out kinks in the flash system as we look through the different menus and pin down how to get the best light from a single flashgun.
The idea of Nature’s Light was born when two friends involved in the photographic and tourism industries decided to combine their skills and create something exciting.
Emil von Maltitz and Nick van de Wiel began working together in 2008 as photographic instructor and wildlife guides for a large volunteer travel company in South Africa. A mutual respect and friendship emerged immediately and Nick and Emil have been friends since.
Introductory course to digital photography. Learn a brief history of photography and how the digital image is made today in your camera.
Throughout the program, students receive individualized attention and support from dedicated core faculty, as well as noted visiting artists, and mentors with whom students intern.
Beginners course photography. Tuesdays and Thursday from 18h-21h00 and then practical shoots on a Saturday or Sunday depending on course participants. Course duration 60 hours in total .
