This National Progression Award (NPA) in Carpentry and Joinery is an entry-level certificate designed to teach you the skills needed for a career in Carpentry and Joinery or possibly another construction-related trade.
This course will provide you with a range of carpentry and joinery skills and knowledge. You will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry, and the industry itself.
This course aims to provide learners with simple woodworking knowledge and confidence building new skills by making 3 items: A 3d picture frame, a tool box, a stool.
On this course you'll study the practical and theoretical aspects of Carpentry and Joinery, which will prepare you for working in the Construction Industry. You'll also develop transferable skills such as numeracy and efficient working practices which will help you to get a job in this field.
