  • James is a professional musician with 29 years experience performing and teaching drums. He started drumming at the age of 11 and progressed under the tutorage of Andy Edwards (Robert Plant, Frost and IQ ) to join his first professional band which led him to perform across the UK and Europe. James has played at prestigious venues such as the Montreux jazz festival, Glastonbury, the O2 arena and Wembley stadium. He has toured alongside the Fun Lovin’ Criminals and has opened for The Streets, De la Soul, Ella Eyre, Roy Ayers, Chumbawamba and Quantic. As well as playing live he is experienced at studio recording, featuring on multiple albums and singles, including an iTunes number 1. Alongside playing drums James has taught privately in schools and colleges educating drummers of all ages in all styles of music. James currently performs as a member of UK funksters, Cantaloop and award winning country band Gasoline and Matches.
