Established in January 2013, Rata Studios (formerly CPAS) is situated in the Creative and Performing Arts Centre at Scots College, Strathmore, Wellington.
Rata Studios is administrated by Scots College and shares the same core educational values of realising the potential of every student and fostering a life-long love of learning.
Established in January 2013, Rātā Studios prides itself on offering specialised professional courses to children and adults in focused areas of drama, music, visual art and creative technologies.
Taught by industry professionals, using state of the art equipment, in world class facilities, and with strong relationships with the industry, we provide inspiring opportunities for our people to access and make a life in the creative and performing arts.
Rātā Studios operates out of the incredible Scots College Creative and Performing Arts Centre.
Drums Course is Offered by Upper Hutt Music Centre. The Upper Hutt Music Centre is a non-profit organisation. UHMC is a NZ Ministry of Education out of hours music education program for primary aged children.
These classes provide an affordable option for learning an instrument in a group setting. Classes will run depending on interest and require a minimum of 3 students so bring a friend and join the fun!
Drums are the driving force in many styles of music. At our centre our experienced tutors will help you find your own unique style and journey with you as you learn to stop playing from your head and start playing what you feel.
Drums production lessons are offered by Frank's Music School. In his own teaching, Frank’s focus is on CCM Voice Coaching (Contemporary Commercial Music); Contemporary Guitar/Bass Tutoring & Pop, Rock and Jazz Band Training.
The percussion family is thought to include the oldest musical instruments – anything that creates sound by being struck or scraped by a beater – and are characterised by providing rhythm.
