Basics are covered such as: holding and striking a drum properly, basic coordination drills, easy rhythms, and playing as a group.
For beginners, drums pads would be adequate for at home practice. Those with prior experience will be given more challenging rhythms and playing techniques.
We provide Cambridge (and further afield) locals of all ages, with a Creative Arts Hub where they can learn anything from Dance, Drama and Music Classes to School Holiday Programmes. We also offer venue hire for events and businesses.
Our new studios are purpose built and designed to offer you a professional experience in all classes. Music rooms are intimate and well sound insulated, our dance studio has a sprung floor, and floor to ceiling mirrors.

The percussion family is thought to include the oldest musical instruments – anything that creates sound by being struck or scraped by a beater – and are characterised by providing rhythm.
Students are introduced to the drum kit and its various components. Good hand and foot coordination is an advantage.
