DurationWe need music now more than ever. The WCM is pleased to continue to offer individual instruction/private lessons throughout the year. Students can choose in person or online instruction, or a combination, depending on the individual’s needs and situation.
We’re taking COVID-19 extremely seriously, and are following all public health guidelines. Our school building is spacious, with large individual studios and common areas that will allow for appropriate social distancing. Shared instruments and surfaces are sanitized between students, and all common areas are cleaned frequently.
Teachers work one-on-one with students and are able to tailor the lesson to the student. All private instructors at the WCM hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Music and are leaders in their fields of expertise.
Registration is ongoing throughout the year. Private lessons begin September and run a maximum of 38 weeks depending upon the instructor. Lessons are thirty to ninety minutes depending on age and skill level of the individual student.

We teach drum lessons to students at every level. Students move at their own speed and select all of their own songs
We offer private lessons for students age 5 and up on most instruments taught by instructors who are experts on their instruments
Our professional instructors teach beginner students the rudiments of music theory, stick control and drumming patterns. Drummers of every level will work to improve their rhythm and technique, covering a wide range of styles
Beginning drum set students first learn proper drum technique including the correct grip and playing motion, and how to coordinate their hands and feet when playing the drum set.
