Based on Deanna Hoermann’s A Developmental Music Program and the Australian Government’s Early Years Learning Framework, Jacqueline’s early childhood music classes focus on developing fundamental music skills while engaging age-appropriate physical, social and personal abilities.
Using the world-recognised Kodaly principles, each class explores beat, tempo, rhythm, pitch, tonality and timbre while encouraging individual engagement and participation. Children (and their parents/carers) are encouraged to listen carefully, critically and analytically to the world around them, and respond by creating music with their voices and bodies. In addition, a variety of musical instruments are available for exploration and discovery as part of the structured program.
This program develops basic musical skills common to all instruments and is an excellent way to begin your child’s musical journey.
