That’s why we have designed Lil’ Groovers to teach music through dance. Rhythm, sense of time and musicality is best learned through embodying music and expressing music through movement.
Research shows music ignites all areas of a child’s development including their social and emotional, gross-motor and language skills. By moving and dancing to music, children connect to these skills more easily and stimulate connection in the growing brain. Their sense of timing, creativity and expression is developed quicker when using movement in conjunction with musical skills, setting them up for faster development in music later in life.
In Lil’ Groovers, our toddlers learn the fundamentals of music expression, song and rhythm alongside physical expression, dance and movement. This weekly small class includes parents for the full first term to allow for full student support and comfort.
