Trainees gain their Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 1 year, while employed in an English teaching position within a school throughout their training. TAP is an alternative to a traditional full-time university course, offering a postgraduate-level qualification (Qualified Teacher Status), no tuition fees.
By demonstrating that you have made good progress in all the curriculum areas, you will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the end of the course.”
The School Direct programmes and Teaching Apprenticeships run by e-Qualitas are a nationally recognised, work-based routes into teaching.
In addition to working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on successful completion of the course, apprentices will also complete an end-point assessment (EPA) after the summer to consolidate learning from initial teacher training.

e-Qualitas are a large privately run School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provider. Our specialist team of ITT consultants guides schools and graduates through the Teacher Training application process, providing info on funding options, timings and delivery of the programme.
Our team of subject and phase leads and tutors has experience and knowledge that covers all secondary subject curriculum areas, as well as for primary including Early Years/Key Stage 1 specialists.
Our Tutors have a wealth of knowledge and experience supporting trainee teachers and are deployed out to visit trainees in school throughout the program. Our Subject Leads and Tutors also run off the Job training sessions, which provide a forum for peer-to-peer discussion and learning.
The Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English: Literacy has been designed for teachers with a generic teaching qualification or trainee teachers who wish to obtain a specialist teaching qualification in literacy.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) is the introductory teaching qualification for teaching adults or training adults in a college or further educational or working environment. You are not required to be teaching already as this course will give you a foundation of knowledge.
