Classes are structured with theoretical discussions, visual presentations and demonstrations followed by application of techniques in practical working sessions.
We recommend students also consider combining this course with our part-time Blowdrying & Hot Styling Tools course and then our part-time Hairstyling course. Combining all three courses will give you a solid all-around makeup and hairstyling skill base required in today's industry.

Professional MakeupCurriculum
At The Makeup School we stress a ‘hands on’ approach to learning. Emphasis is placed on daily demonstrations by our tutors followed by a student practical workshop session.
Students are monitored at the end of each module to check their progress. Final assessment includes both practical and written exams.
Using a mixture of your own existing kit and my professional kit together we will work our way through all the steps to create your very own makeup and/or hair look. I will apply makeup to half of your face and you will recreate it on the other half with my guidance.
Michelle has been doing makeup all over the world for 20+Â years, working for magazines like Vogue and Harpers Bazaar, industry renowned photographers and a host of celebrities.
We will go through your makeup products, do a basic makeup look together and I'll provide you with a list of products to buy afterwards, you'll also receive a personalised post-lesson booklet.
