Fire Fighting (Level 1)

Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course you the Fire Fighter should be able to have sufficient knowledge to assess a situation, remaining as calm as possible, identifying possible dangers and priorities and provide immediate and appropriate action for the situation.

Understand and explain fire prevention

• Stacking and Storing of goods

•  Housekeeping

• Safe Working Practices (OHS Act)

Operate basic fire fighting equipment

• Identify basic fire fighting equipment

• Correctly use basic fire fighting equipment

Perform basic fire fighting procedures

• Steps to be taken when fighting a fire

• Precautions when fighting a fire

• Containing fires

NQF Level              

• Further Education and Training (FET) Level 2

Certification:         

• A Certificate of training will be issued to all successful candidates.
