This mandatory session is targetted at healh & social care staff applying the legislation and guidance to this setting. The course begins with an overview of how fires behave then discusses the role of staff in the prevention of fires and risk assessments. The session moves on to discuss responses to fires including walking the group through a fire drill scenario with debrief and practical involving extinguishing equipment.
Recommended duration
3 hours - for inexperienced staff and to include more detailed evacuation activities
2 hours - for condensed update course for experienced workers
2 hours - online theory only update (practical can be arranged seperately)
Maximum delegates per session
12 face to face (subject to current covid restrictions)
18 online (practical sessions to cover evacuation and extinguishing can be arranged separately)
