Training sessions will discuss the various types of extinguishers. Advantages and disadvantages of each type importance will be discussed and demonstrate. Proper operation of various extinguishers and the type of fires that they are best suited for will be discussed and demonstrated.

This program emphasizes learning the basic knowledge and skills necessary to become a functioning member of a fire department. While at the Firefighter I and II Academy, the student's daily routine incorporates a fire department atmosphere into the training.
