These unit standards cannot be attempted if the Legal Test for the Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act, Act60/2000 applicable to firearm ownership are NOT completed (Applicable to 1st Time Applicants) as the entry level to this course is Unit Standard 117705 Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 60/2000. Proof must be shown that this has been achieved before commencing the training.
Invictus Tactical is a fully accredited Firearm Training Academy based in Gauteng, serving clients all over South Africa. We offer various courses ranging from the Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act, Basic Firearm Unit Standards for Handgun, Rifles/Shotguns as well as Business Purposes Firearm Training for Handguns, Rifles/Shotguns and Regulation 21 Refresher Training for security personnel.
We are an accredited training centre registered by the South African Professional Firearm Trainers Council (SAPFTC) and we are affiliated to the International Firearm Training Academy (IFTA).

All our firearms training is learner paced to ensure that you can increase your subject matter knowledge and understanding, and produce the best skills possible to achieve the most effective results.
ITA runs Skills Builder Course at different levels which teaches you how to properly carry a firearm in a holster, draw the firearm from the holster, and quickly and efficiently place your sites on the target.
These units standards consist of 1 legal and 1 handle and use unit standard competency training with the varying applicable firearm. This is 1 legal with 1 basic handle and use training session for the formal unit standards.
Handle and Use of a Rifle training is offered by Eyabantu Safety & Security Academy. The courses are presented theoretically at our accredited centre followed by practical shoot at Ihawu indoor shooting range.
Firearm training is offered by Falcon Firearm Academy. Firearm training for private individuals as well as people who work in the security industry.
