The teaching is centred on practical furniture projects suited to the student's level of competence and confidence. A focus of the course is the making of a piece of furniture, which is normally acheived by the end.
The School is a small and specialised teaching workshop, established by Peter Quin, a cabinet-maker and teacher with thirty years' experience.
Students will be encouraged to design and work on projects of their own choice. This course is a beginners course in which students will develop basic Carpentry and Joinery skills.

This two day course gives the opportunity to get to grips with various tools used in green wood working; froe, draw knife, spokeshave, donk, shave horse and carving knives.
